Shams is the Founder and CEO of Nirvana. He has a strong entrepreneurial track record in the financial technology space. In 1999, he founded Advanced Financial Applications (AFA) and its broker/dealer subsidiary EGS. Prior to starting AFA, Shams spent over 10 years at Morgan Stanley as a Derivative Specialist, with assignments in New York, San Francisco and Asia. Shams has an MBA in quantitative finance & economics from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
Steve Lewczyk is Co-founder and head of Corporate Development at Nirvana. With over 25 year experience in the financial technology space, Steve drives the direction of strategic initiatives at Nirvana. While at Advent Software and Fidelity Investments, Steve was responsible for sales, managing sales teams, driving revenue, new business development, strategic partnership development and mergers and acquisitions. Steve operates Nirvana’s West Coast operations out of California.
Mohsen is responsible for Nirvana's product strategy and global client relationship management. He moved to New York to start Nirvana's New York City office and headquarters in 2009, after having joined the firm in 2007. Mohsen began his career in financial technology with Advent Software in 2000, where he spent 7.5 years and headed the custom engineering team, as well as the Straight Through Processing team responsible for building Advent's interfaces to brokers, banks, custodians, and other parties. Mohsen resides in New York City and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis in Applied Physics, from the University of California at Berkeley.
Sumit is the Chief Technology Officer of Nirvana Solutions. He is responsible for Nirvana's technology management and direction, and operations / server infrastructure delivering Nirvana's software services.
Sumit started his career with a start-up consulting firm in 1999 and joined Nirvana India in 2006. Initially, he sequenced the teams of technology, to offshore product management, to finance, and operations. He oversaw Nirvana India's operations and technology until May 2011, when he moved to Nirvana US for a global role.
